LEADERSHIP

Michele Carney, president of SHCMG, leads the team and works directly with client management to arrive at the best solution for each challenge. She directs, advises, and coordinates all the resources working on any project.

With over 25 years of experience in providing care, directing operations and working on developing successful and creative strategies of providing healthcare services, Michele is a veteran. She has worked in the long-term care market in acquiring, managing and owning skilled nursing facilities, both for the for profit and non- profit markets.

She has taught at the University of Hartford, Springfield College, and Rensselear University teaching to the graduate and undergraduate students from many different areas of healthcare, including strategic management, economics, gerontology, long term care management and the adult journey.

Michele volunteers and contributes to various non profit boards, including Chariots of Hope where she served as president for 12 years and is still an active board member. Additional has sat on the board of director for the Charter Oak Community Health Center of Hartford, Connecticut for over 7 years and is a member of Connecticut and Massachusetts Long Term Care Financial Managers Association.
